Outside of athletic wear, In my opinion I think that any formality of shoes (boots, sneakers, dress shoes, etc.) all look cleaner without laces showing. This ties (pun intended) to last week and the discussion that there are a ton of little subtle things one can do to improve your style and hiding your laces is one of them.
